Pacific Jarrah
Pacific Jarrah is a dense, richly coloured tropical hardwood valued for its exceptional durability and hard wearing surface. Ranging from light red-brown to a deep brick red and darkening with exposure, it is well suited to demanding external applications – decking, screening, balustrades and structural work – where durability and appearance carry equal weight.
Rated Class 1 for durability both above ground and in ground, it is among the most durable timbers in our range. Its low tannin content is a practical advantage on site: unlike many dark hardwoods, Pacific Jarrah is far less prone to bleeding and staining adjacent render, paving or fixings as it weathers.
TLB Timber sources Pacific Jarrah from the Solomon Islands, with additional supply from Papua New Guinea. Botanical Name: Manilkara kanosiensis and related Manilkara species.
